Live Moderator for the Third Replay of her Highly-Rated Panel Presentation on Bias and Diversity in the Legal Profession

Sarah served as live moderator for “Elimination of Bias: Lawyers Tackle Books About Bias and Diversity,” a highly rated seminar replayed multiple times since being recorded in April 2019, in which panelists discuss how the issues raised in their book relate to bias and diversity in the legal profession. In Sarah’s debut presentation of speaking publicly on matters of race, she invited the audience to be a “real-time ally” in addressing bias and discrimination. She gave examples and instructions to help transform environments into more inclusive cultures.

One instruction was to prepare. She explained that you may be surprised or even shocked when you witness discrimination—but she rarely is. You’ll be better able to speak up or intervene if you practice so you are prepared.

“What would you say that,1) is professional, 2) is relationship-building and 3) addresses the behavior?”
